these links have information about the proper diet for rabbits.

the most important part of the diet is unlimited timothy hay.

veggies are the second most important part. everyday the rabbit should have betw/ 2-4 cups of fresh veggies, at least 3 different kinds. for some reason, there is a myth that veggies cause diarrhea or death, this is not the case at all. what do these people think rabbits eat in the wild? that's right... vegetation! here is a list of veggies that are PERFECTLY FINE to be fed everyday.

pellets should be fed in very limited amounts. no more than a 1/4 cup per 5 pounds of bunny. pellets were designed as a way to fatten up meat rabbits, not as an integral part of a pet rabbit's diet. high quality pellets have NO ADDED JUNK! colored cereal bits and seeds are very bad for bunnies. do not feed them.

treats should be limited to 3x a week, and very small amounts. never feed yogurt drops or seed treats b/c they are unnecessarily high in sugar and seeds can block the GI tract.

if fed properly, a pet rabbit can live many years. good luck!
a rabbit should be fed pellets everyday.hay is a necessity and is given every time.the rabbit must have hay to chew only all day to keep it in a good shape...

all things that is not pellets or hay is called a ';treat'; and should be given only on a limited basis.vegetables and fruits is also a treat.not to be given all day as it might cause diarhea and i s bad for them...

advisable dietary needs as treats are these:apples, bananas, fruit leaves, pears, lettuce(not iceberg lettuce.it'll kill the rabbit),carrots,raisins,etc...

they must be given only at the most once a day.

remember:rabbits have a unique and ';fragile'; digestive system.any wrong feed that you give them can cause death instantly.

i hope i helped!
I used to have a rabbit and I gave her constant timothy hay(she loved to lay in it as well as eat it), and just kept her bowl full all the time with . She ate when she was hungry and never over-ate. Just keep an eye on the rabbit. It should also have fresh vegetables and never old veggies. Carrots and celery is what my rabbit loved. Occasional fruit like apples is okay too just not too much. Maybe one slice a day?? They like Yo-dips or Yogurt based treats that they need for calcium. Those are more treats though not so much food. Also to keep them distracted from eating too much food, have a wood block (made for rabbits not out of the yard) that will help with their teeth. Their teeth grow very rapidly and need to be worn down, just like a dog they like chew toys!!! Hope this helped..
Well, here it goes. My feeding schedule:

Morning:

1-3 ounces of pelleted diet, seeds are optional. (One tablespoon = One ounce.)

Noon:

Fresh greens like, dandelions, dandelion greens, carrot tops, celery tops, all work for greens. Give a half cup, or one whole cup full of greens.

Evening:

Followed by moist food: carrots, apples, bananas, brocoli, just basic fruits and veggies.Give a tiny bit of moist food, less than half a cup.

Good Luck!!!
An unlimited supply of Timothy Hay (Alfafa hay is fattening). Just refill the bowl when you see it is empty. Depending on the size of your rabbit, 1/4 to 1 cup of pellets. And finally, 1/4 cup of veggies and the occasional fruit (fruit has lots of sugar, so only give it to them sometimes as a treat.) Good luck and I hoped I helped! :)
Grass hay is all they need. Avoid alfalfa as it is too high in calcium and can damage kidneys. Give 1/4 cup of pellets per 5 lbs. of rabbits weight. Do not use pellets that contain seeds or corn. Avoid vegies high in carbs. Dark leafy greens can be offered. High carb (treats, seeds, corn, fruits) are the number one reason for intestinal problems in rabbits. They need high fiber in the form of hay and other dried grasses.

I am a rabbit expert. Right now I have nine rabbits because my boy and girl rabbit had a litter. It wasn't planned. We don't even cage them together we just let them play in their little play area for a few minutes but a few minutes is all it takes. LOL I give my bunnies nutriphase pellets. They really like them. I give them an unlimited amount of timothy hay but they should only have about a cup of pellets a day. Make sure that fresh water is always available. I add rabbit vitamins to the water. Don't give vegetables daily because it isn't good for them. It will give them diarrhea. Kale is the best veggie to give them. It is very healthy for them and has Vitamin C. Don't give veggies to rabbits under six months old because it isn't good for them.
There is care info here
