Do you think i can keep a PET rabbit in my backyard?

I am getting a pet rabbit and I am not if I should keep in a cage/playpen or in my back yard.Do you think i can keep a PET rabbit in my backyard?
yes but make sure it's a sturdy, rabbit hutch...

1. has a bottom to the cage: because rabbits will dig themselves out, or foxes digging themselves in...

2. has a roof: because of the weather, mainly the sun but also the rain... and animals (predatory birds)

3. is pretty big so the rabbit and hop around

4. has a place for the rabbit to sleep

where should you put it:

----%26gt;keep it away from direct sunlight, try a shaddy tree

-----%26gt; a place where the rain can't flood the cage

-----%26gt;a place where it isn't windy!!!Do you think i can keep a PET rabbit in my backyard?
If you want an indoor rabbit, you'll have to devote a room or a certain space for the rabbit to run around. If you want an outdoor rabbit, you'll need a hutch that it can get in and out of safely. You'll have to make sure no dogs, cats, hawks, or other predators can get to him/her. You'll also have to get annual shots for multiple things if you want him/her to be healthy.
You can keep the rabbit in the backyard but it needs a cage with a wire part and a hutch that protects it from the weather. Rabbits do well living outdoors as long as they have that protected part of their cage to go in when the weather is rainy or too cold.
You need to make sure there arent any fences it can get under no hoses and maybe make a run for it and give it a house with a wire door make sure to have a lock on the door if you want to keep it out overnight make a food and water thingy

Hope this helps
my cusin has her bunny in her bach yard. and lilly is sooo happy to have freash air! just make sure u have plenty of space for it and make sure its nice and cozy in the winter. (i suggest putting haybales around the cage)
yah maybe for a little while when i was little my mom let the rabbit run around the house and she forgot and we left to eat out for dinner and it died because it ate a poisoned berry thing
definitely in a cage at night at least. There are animals at night that might attack it. Also rain would also not be too good for your rabbit
You can do anything you want. It's America! lol
its fine if it has proper shelter but outdoor rabbits statistically live shorter lives than indoor ones
