Does anyone have a rabbit that does something funny?

my rabbit plays with a ball. He pushes it with his head and jumps aroung.Does anyone have a rabbit that does something funny?
I used to have a house bunny,

When she growled fiercely and jumped at someone, she'd be called 'fang'

she was littertrained (although she dropped raisins over.

she and i would lie side by side catching sun rays

i would 'chin' her, (much like rabbits mark their property), then she would lick my hand, then I would 'chin' her again...

she would get up on furniture she knew was not permissable, but as i walked in the room she would go leaping off it. never failed to crack me up!

as she hopped around my feet as i read, she would grunt softly to herself, untying my shoelaces to get attention

i really miss her!

thanks for helping me go down memory lane!Does anyone have a rabbit that does something funny?
WELL...........I did NOT think it was very funny, and niether may u; but some people WILL be ROFL when they read this! When I was a kid, we raised rabbits........and chickens, geese and ducks.... but we always had ONE of the rabbits (and chickens, too) as a pet. Well, sometimes, he was angry, apparently. 3 or 4 times, while we kept him as a pet, as I would be bringing him his clover, pellets, and water, he would kick his hind legs directly at me, and, through the cage, he would spray me all over with....P!
he will lay in a lan char
we don't have this rabbit anymore

he was the best rabbit ever

he died of a heart attack :( we think, he just screamed one day and fell over adn didn't wake up

NEway... i always let him out on the lawn. He never ran away. I would just sit on our the lawn and watch him. He would sorta go out of site. Then the cats would all come and sit on my lap. Then all of a sudden he would do a jump and twist and run back to me. He would first scare all the cats away by chasing them and then he would jump on my lap :)
Plays sock like a dog plays with a ball and eat oreo cookies and barks like a dog and is litter trained
my rabbit runs figure eights around my to feet or whoever else is standing up near her...its funny!
used to have a black rabbit called basil who licked your skin with his tongue
lol oh my I though you were talking about a different kind of rabbit lol like the one I picked up for my g/f she loves it, but its not a bunny lol sorry!
He licks his butt.
Two of mine will sit up on the command ';up';. It's so cute.
that is just too cute!
I had a rabbit named Israel that was as funny to watch as the kittens, and just as smart. He would play hide and seek with them, and try to hide in my pant leg! He would run like a Chinese pug around the house, peeling out around the corners. As he passed his food dish, he'd screech to a stop and grab something small, then keep going.
my bunny rabit is potty trained,he uses a cat litter box with bed petting and he looks so cute when he jumps in there and do his business...........
THAT IS SOOO CUTE!!!!^^ i dont have a bunny but my friends bunny farts whenever someone holds him.
that's cute =) i wanna have a bunny like yours.
My Bunny will jump on my lap when I'm on the couch, carry a toilet paper roll around the house, come up to me and give me kisses all the time, she also likes to throw things.
My friend's rabbit can do flips! Literally!
I do,, mine does this to me, do you know what is invisable and smells like carrots?? he farts oh by the way ,, Do you know how to catch a unique rabbit??? You neak up on him,, and one more ,,,Do you know how to catch a tame rabbit??? Tame way,,,,,,uhuhuhuh,,ribet ribet poot
My current rabbit is white with gray ears and tail. She gives kissies.

My prior rabbit smoked and had a bad clutch.
He gives me kisses, turns over his food bowl when I leave him home for a whole day alone (and then stands next to it almost like he's saying ';You see what I did? Yeah, that's right!), when he hears a box rattle (like cereal when I'm getting myself something to eat, etc.) he thinks he's getting a treat and will be right at me feet, no matter where he was in the place. He also stands on his hind legs and goes in a circle on them for a treat. He also crawls like a soldier for treats. What else....he can, and does, jump from one couch to another (but not from the seat, from the backs!)...it's a good 5 foot jump, but he makes it every time. Oh, and he grunts at me a lot when I'm done petting him, but he's not.
Mine Tickles my LIPS
i used to have a rabbit that would thump when she was hungry or mad at me.

What type of pet rabbit is low maintenance and can live outdoor?

i'm a rabbit breeder and have been for at least 5 years now and ALL of my rabbits are outside. i have a few inside the barn and a few outside. the ones outside have a run and a hutch attached to it so they can hide and keep warm in. in the winter i will put a bit of hay in so they can keep warm plus they'll eat it and they add fat which will also keep em warm. in the summer they just get shavings in their hutch.

now for low maintenance no rabbit is low maintenance but some are more then other i find. some are messier and some are cleaner..and it's not certain breeds either. i have English spots and some are alot messier then other by far.

the only rabbit i can think of that can't be outside for say would be an Angora. but they aren't populaire either so no worry there. but anyother rabbit can basically be outside.

in less u get some MAJORLY COLD winters...then i would bring them into a barn or something for the cold winter days. but other than that they should be outside. it's better for them i think. What type of pet rabbit is low maintenance and can live outdoor?
Well...you would need a hutch and make sure it's animal proof. You would need a heat source and clean his hutch very few days because rabbits are messy. After considering all this..I don't think a rabbit is for you. Besides that, what's the point of keeping him outside if he is supposed to be a pet? What type of pet rabbit is low maintenance and can live outdoor?
you shouldnt put a rabbit outside. my rabbit was in one of those expensive hutch things , and a raccoon (or something like that) got to him and killed him.
i have heard rabbits are high mantenance and adults should be the one taking care of it oh and also heard they have heart attacks easily
No pet is low maintenance. If yoiu build a rabbit run, you can put any kind of rabbit in there. Just make sure there is adequate food and water, and shelter. Hay in the winter if it gets cold. The most popular type is Holland Lop,or Netherland.

  • Can I leave my rabbit alone for 7 days?

I'm going on holiday for 7 days. If I leave 7 days worth of food and 2 huge bottles full of water (1 bottles normally lasts about a week), a huge amount of hay (he eats this) and a couple of carrots, will my rabbit be OK? Do rabbits eat all their food at once, or do they only eat when they're hungry? Can I leave my rabbit alone for 7 days?
It is quite irresponsible of you to leave you rabbit alone for 7 days, you should not have a rabbit if you can't get someone to look after it for you.Can I leave my rabbit alone for 7 days?
Rabbits graze constantly .....so if the food is there he will eat it and I would really hate for you to come back and find that your rabbit has starved..

get a friend to look after it or at least call around to check it...
no rabbits do eat their food and stop when they are full. umm you may want to get a automattic feeder that will gernerously give out food for a certain amounts a day or twice depending on how often you feed him. he will heat the hay when he is hungry so yes im sure you can leave him alone. just have someone you know come over and check on him about half way through. oh and you may want to get him some toys for him to play with while you are gone since no one will be there to play with him. have fun on your break. oh and the water will be fine 2.
I wouldn't risk it. Ask someone to check on him 2 or 3 times during the week.
i have 3 rabbits and i never leave them alone

but i guess that he will be alright

my rabbits usually dont eat all of their food at once they will eat a bit then empty the food bowl at cage floor and when they are hungry they will eat it

i always clean their cages every week so there is a lot of uneaten food left

i dont know why but they like their hay and carrots more than their pellet diet
no it will die leave it will a friend

but don't leace it with a friend that may like to eat rabbit
ogmygod! No! you can't leave it alone for a week. Would you leave a dog alone for a week? A rabbit will always eat whatever food they have in front of them in one sitting. That's why I feed mine in the morning and again at night. Please get a pet sitter.
I would be more concerned about the water issue than the food tbh. Water should be changed daily due ot micro-organisms which develop after it has been standing.

Leaving the water for a week at a time could possibly cause nasties in it which would make your rabbit sick - maybe not life threateningly so but sick all the same.

Do you have a neighbour who wouldn't mind taking care of the water for you daily?
rabbits eat when they are hungry just like humans. ANd it would be fine to leave your rabbit but if i were you i would have a neighbor or friend come and check on it every day or every 2 days. Rabbits need a lot of attention and it might get upset if it is all alone. Hope this helps!!! And have fun where ever you are going!!!
ummm... i dont think that is a good idea... do u have a relative that you can ask to ';bunny-sit'; for u... dats wat i did... i made like daily instructions printed it out... gave them everything they needed and my phone number jus incase...
Most likely he will eat it all at once and not realize he is full. I'm sure like humans, we do not know when we are full until we stop. But being a rabbit he won't think about how much he has eaten. I would have someone watch him if I were you.

    Hope that helps.

How do I prepare rabbit to eat?

I keep getting offered lots of unwanted pet rabbits free. How do I prepare rabbit to eat?
    Here's (hare's ; haha) a great site:

    http://www.uaf.edu/ces/publications/free鈥?/a>

When I was a kid, I recall mom ';browning'; the meat in a skillet with a little oil and seasonings, like garlic. Then it was slow cooked in pasta sauce. delicious!

I also recall some of the bones being small %26amp; sharp. So be careful if you're feeding it to young children. I know it's a cliche',

but it really does taste like chicken. So does squirrel ,also.

Don't let anyone put you on a guilt trip for eating rabbit, squirrel, other wild game. Most are first level consumers and part of the food web anyhow. They're not an endangered species and since they're fertile all the time, they multiply like, well, rabbits. How do I prepare rabbit to eat?
Keep them as pets or just dont take them eating them is cruel..Also your not allowed to eat rabbits bred as PETS its ILLEGAL!

Can my Holland Lop rabbit have pet trail mix?

I have a 7th month old Holland Lop named Dalilah. I have seen in stores that they have pet trail mix.I was wondering if its safe for her to have that. It looks like regular trail mix so im a lil worried if i should let her try it.Please let me know if you have any Information on this, Thanks. Can my Holland Lop rabbit have pet trail mix?
The mixes are pet stores are not good for rabbits. They have a ton of seeds and nuts which can cause obesity and some other health problems.

If you want to give your rabbit a treat, you can used some dried or fresh fruit (no sugar if possible), veggies or some healthy rabbit treats. Can my Holland Lop rabbit have pet trail mix?
A rabbit should have no more than a tablespoon and a half of commercial rabbit pellets a day. The bulk of their diet MUST be timothy hay and a serving of appropriate greens like parsley, cilantro, carrot tops, kale, etc. with occasional small treats of carrot nubs, a slice of apple, or banana.

I would stay away from any ';pet trail mix'; - too much sugary fruit and nuts, etc. Very high in calories and I don't think too good for the rabbit's intestinal tract. Dealing with intestinal problems with rabbits can be deadly and/or very expensive to treat.

How do give my rabbit a bath?

How would my 5 month old bunny get a bath?what would I need to do exactly. He is a adorable Dutch bunny who is very messy LOL. Please helpHow do give my rabbit a bath?
Bathing a rabbit is NOT recommended as rabbits are naturally clean animals. But if you must, here are the steps to bathing a rabbit without getting bite marks all over your hands.

^Steps^Lay out a towel in your bathtub. Then, start trickling the water and get someone to hold your little friend. Make sure the water is warm, but not hot. Rabbit skin is very sensitive--so be careful.

Leaving the bathtub unplugged, place your furry friend on the towel and make sure he/she doesn't escape. Do not place him/her under the water immediately. Start by using a shampoo specifically for small animals or kittens. Do NOT use human shampoo, not even baby shampoo! Gently massage the shampoo into the rabbits' fur. If he/she tries to bite you, don't be intimidated. Just continue to coat the

    shampoo.

Wash the rabbit's body only and when finished, rinse him off with clear water. Until water runs clear. Avoid the rabbit's ears, nose and mouth.

Dry with a washcloth gently making sure not to rub or irritate his skin.

If your rabbits' fur stays wet long, they can get sick in a breeze. You may use a hair dryer, set on low to dry the rabbit. Remember to ONLY use small animal shampoo. Human and baby shampoo could really harm your rabbit. If this is a bunny, try putting it off until it is a little older.

@Tips@ Don't bathe your rabbit unless 110% necessary, as in when they've become sick and develop diarrhea, as it may stick in the fur. Rabbits clean themselves on a regular basis, so bathing should not be done.

Talk to your rabbit in a calm voice that can reassure the rabbit.

!!!!Warnings!!!! Do not submerge your rabbit!

Your rabbit may be annoyed at you for a while.

If not done properly, serious injuries can occur.

Rabbits can kick hard enough to break their own backs so don't scare them.

Rabbits are easily shocked and bathing them can be overly stressful, and can kill them. Only bathe your rabbit when it's absolutely necessary. How do give my rabbit a bath?
You shouldn't give a rabbit a bath. If the rabbit is dirty, you can spot clean with a damp cloth or a pet wipe.

If your rabbit cannot groom itself, you should probably go see a rabbit savvy vet as something is wrong. You should talk with a rabbit vet before you bathe a rabbit. They can help you to do it properly so you don't stress the rabbit too much.
    Aww poor little man!

Don't feel bad about needing to bath him, experts oppinions vary as much as the rabbits like or dislike of baths does!

Definately do not use any shampoos etc which are made for human use..

Buy a shampoo for small animals such as Bob Martin My Little Friend shampoo....specially formulated for rabbits and other small animals.

First make sure that the recepticle you are going to use is only half full of lukewarm water (test this with your elbow...if it feels hot to your elbow add some cold water) and then bring your bunny to the bath.

Don't fill it up with the rabbit already in there or he/she will get frightened....and Don't put any shampoo in it.

Next hold your rabbit in a way that makes him/her feel safe and gently and slowly lower him into the water (back feet first), so that it understands that it is getting wet...Do not plunge it straight in as this will shock the rabbit and it may not forgive you for a long time!

Once the rabbit is in the water, gently pour some water over his back using your cupped hand....always keep the other hand in the water and close or stroking the rabbit so that it knows you are there...

Place a pea-sized blob of shampoo into your hand and rub onto the animals back etc ... then wash off with the cupped hand method as mentioned.

Once all the shampoo is removed, gently lift your pet out of the water and towel dry...

Leave the water in the bowl / sink until you have dried your rabbit and he is safely back in his cage as the sound of water going down a plug hole can be scarey to small animals.

Never Ever leave him in the water unsupervised and if possible have someone nearby so you can have help if you need it.

If he appears to be stressed by sitting in water then an alternative would be to take a wet face towel and use that instead...

Which ever method you decide on make sure he is properly dried off afterwards.

Never use a hair dryer on your rabbit as this can be very stressful...always towel dry gently.

    Have Fun!

    P.S...Wet Bunnies look adorable *Grin*
DO NOT give your rabbit a bath.

rabbits clean themselves, so it shouldnt be a problem. As for that right side, just take a damp towel and wash it every now and then, if he really cant groom it himself.

dont ever submerge a rabbit in water, though. they can clean themselves !

Which Car should i get the Honda fit or the vw rabbit?

i know that the honda is slower then the vw rabbit. am looking for something that is reliable and isn't going to give me alot of problems since i'll be taking out a loan to get one. i know the honda has better gas per mileage then the rabbit but not by much. so any suggestions?Which Car should i get the Honda fit or the vw rabbit?
I was deciding between the same two cars and went with the Honda Fit.

VW, as others mentioned, doesn't have a history of being reliable, whereas Honda has a pretty good reputation. In fact, my friend's 3-year old jetta just had some major engine problems.

The VW is more powerful, but the Fit isn't weak. It's handles well around corners and is zippy at low speeds.

Even though the VW looks bigger, I felt cramped inside. The organization of the Fit makes it appear as if there is more space and I really enjoy the big wide windows.

Among the subcompact cars (xA, Yaris, Versa), reviews commonly pick the Fit as the best.

Also, if something does go wrong, many Honda parts are plentiful and relatively inexpensive.

Maybe check out Scion xD too. mpg is about the same and it's a little more powerful.Which Car should i get the Honda fit or the vw rabbit?
You could just get a sardine can!

Those cars are so small, why bother-
The Rabbit is designed for a fun ride, it has a sport style suspension and alright power.

The Fit is a purely functional vehicle, not nearly as much fun but it gets the job done.

Reliability goes to Honda on this one. VW is improving themselves, give the Rabbit a couple years and it will probably be a great car; but I wouldnt touch the first few years of it.
The Honda will be more reliable and have a better resale value at the end of your loan.

VW don't score very high in the reliability ratings.
I WOULD GO WITH A HONDA CIVIC BECAUSE IT IS A PROVEN VEHICLE, VERY RELIABLE, GOOD GAS MILEAGE AND HOLD A GOOD RESALE VALUE.

How to keep a rabbit warm in 48 degree weather?

    i live in houston

    so its generally hot.

i finally decided to put my raabbits outside the otherday and it was really hot

A cold front just sorta blew threw and its gonna get really cold tonight, and i was just wandering How i should, I put a towel in each of there cages to keep them warm by burrowing, but is there any other ideas?

-JennaHow to keep a rabbit warm in 48 degree weather?
    hot water botttles

put something over the cages to block the wind

teddy bears might sound stupid but will work

anything really just make it nice and snug even an old jumper sock will help a bit

hopes this helps you and your bunniesHow to keep a rabbit warm in 48 degree weather?
it is better to keep your rabbit in an unused wooden shed rather than directly outside and to insulate the inside of the shed with bubble wrap, and round the back of the cage. this will keep the temperature stable. By leaving a rabbit out in the open air when it has just been remove from a warm home, it will end up with pneumonia.

I have used this technique for many years and have never had a rabbit end up ill.

Temperature changes to rabbits should be gradual.
i don't know if you will have the time today but you can get a heat lamp and put on top of the cage or a heat pad that goes under the cage but you should just bring them in tonight if you can't get to the pet store tonight.
put in lots of hay straw i put a cover over my hutches in winter

  • Why is our FEMALE rabbit jumping on our males back?

Its normally the male that does that!

And the male obviously doesnt like it, and it looks like the female is also scratching his back when she jumps. Why is our FEMALE rabbit jumping on our males back?
She is just trying to show that she is more dominant over him, my rabbits used to do it.Why is our FEMALE rabbit jumping on our males back?
This is absolutely normale and if you are trying to breed, it is probably because your male isn't as aggressive as the female (in terms of breeding, not personality). Otherwise, they ';practice'; like that on each other as kits and adults, and they don't seem to care which sex they are mounting. The hair nipping/pulling/scratching back is also another thing they do when they mate. It's a funny sight!

Rabbits don't really like to live together. The mounting isn't much of a concern but if and when they fight, they'll need separate cages.
Are they both fixed? My female was doing this the other day, she is either pregnant or having a false pregnancy.

My Vet told us it is a guarding behavior. Separate them.
LOL! (MAYBE THE FEMALE IS A MALE????) x
your rabbit could be desperate to mate so its raping the male. lol.
i think they're just playing really, ours do that too sometimes

What is the difference between an alligator and a crocodile? A rabbit and a bunny?

Crocodiles are usually bigger and more aggressive than alligators, and crocs usually live in salt where as alligators usually live in fresh water.

A rabbit and a bunny are THE SAME THING. A baby rabbit is called a kitten, not a bunny. Bunny and rabbit are synonyms. What is the difference between an alligator and a crocodile? A rabbit and a bunny?
don't know about the alligator and crocodile, but a rabbit and a bunny are the same thing, just different names. What is the difference between an alligator and a crocodile? A rabbit and a bunny?
Alligators and crocodile's are different animals where as a bunny is simply a baby rabbit!
Alligater and crocs are 2 dif animals by there size where they live there diet etc..

but a bunny is just a baby rabbit

kinda like a puppy and a dog

What does your pet rabbit like to play with best?

My rabbit loves an old rag. We let it hang down (not attatched), then she runs through it backwards and forwards, round and round. Eventually she grabs it and runs away with it in her mouth. We keep re-hanging the rag, and she just keeps running off with it. Have to try and teach her to bring it back..fetch!!.What does your pet rabbit like to play with best?

How old does a Rabbit need to be for a home? (youngest age)?

8 weeks of ageHow old does a Rabbit need to be for a home? (youngest age)?
8 weeks old, by then it can survive without its mother, Rabbit proofing the house is quite easy, make sure the rabbit has a section where nobody can accidently step on it, make sure there are no wires out otherwise it might chew them, same goes for anything with string or tassles and shoe laces things like that, also make sure that it cant get stuck anywhere, if you like you can make it so your rabbit can hide around or in things but i would keep it in a cage in the main part of the house or in a run, let it out sometimes but not all the time, rabbits should NEVER be near a kitchen or a fireplace as fire will freak them out as soon as they smell it! plently of food and water, a toy to chew on you can get food bowls that rabbits cant tip over for food and water at most pet stores!

    hope i helped!

hope i helped! How old does a Rabbit need to be for a home? (youngest age)?
    I think its 7 weeks +

Just make sure there is nothing you're bunny can chew on such as wires and that anything dangrous is out of reach. Also make sure that they cant get in behind something and get lost or stuck.
    7-8weeks

Does how high a rabbit can jump depend on the breed?

My 8 month old rabbit is an English Spot cross and is an amazing jumper. He managed to jump over the end of my bed, which had a metal bit at the end. It was probably just under a metre high... is that because he was majorly hyper then, or is that something to do with his English Spot genetics? I heard that they are energetic.Does how high a rabbit can jump depend on the breed?
I was shocked the other day when my 6 month old lop eared rabbit climbed up my stairs and it took literally seconds ! He loves bounding accross the floor as well and gives big kicks as he goes.Does how high a rabbit can jump depend on the breed?
My lop rabbit has jumped into his hutch (around 0.75m and onto a small table in the garden (roughly 1m)

He's only 4 months old LOL

How safe is my rabbit from cats?

how safe is my rabbit from cats if I leave him out in my garden just about to move house and there is a cat next door I noticed it in the garden of my new home when I visited todayHow safe is my rabbit from cats?
I woulds suggest a harmless method of preventing the cat coming in the garden such as putting orange peel on the fence or using a get off spray.

Your rabbit should be safe if he is kept in a secure enclosure but unfortunately rabbits are easily stressed which could cause ill health.

Maybe put the hutch inside the run and then only let him out on supervised playtimes. How safe is my rabbit from cats?
they probably will get along. unless the rabbit is small ,he can easily kick any sized cats butt, but my sister put her rabbit on the patio in the hunt camp and he left....or so she thought...now we have more rabbits than ever!
i would say your rabbit is not very safe...cats love hunting things like rabbits and mice, so i would get your rabbit out of there pronto.
Not sure, but I once found a cat in my rabbits hutch and it was cuddled up - the weather had been rough overnight and it had broken in to shelter. The rabbit seemed quite to see the cat go!
I had a 15lb tom cat one time and he could blitz any moggy in the street. The only time I've seen him come out 2nd best was against a neighbour's rabbit which had escaped into the bushes. I wouldn't worry. Likewise my current cat and his brother used to sit 2ft away from next doors lop-eared rabbit and just look and wonder at what a funny sort of ';cat'; it was.
I would say my best advice is to get your rabbit the heck outa there! My cats LOVE to catch wild rabbits even though it breaks my heart when they do. I think you shloud get one of those cages that are for outdoors that can fold up, and then when you let your rabbit out watch him/her carefully. Some cats don't pay much attention to rabbits, but some, like my cats, will actually hunt them down and eat them. Oh and look out for dogs too, though they should be on a leash. Good luck! :)
Don't know if this will be any help, but I have three house bunnies and three cats. My cats generally leave the rabbits alone. One cat tried to pounce my american Palimino who is about 12 pounds and was rewarded with a kick that sent him(cat) flying across the kitchen floor. This same bunny sleeps under my bed with our tabby every chance he gets. They seem to be the best of friends.

Now the same cat who had flying lessons tries to chase the two smaller dutch, and ends up being chased through the house. So it ends up being a game he chases them till they get tired of it then they turn around and chase him.

My oldest cat who is about 14yrs wants nothing to do with the rabbits and pretty much stays out of their way.

But I would never leave any of my rabbits out doors unattended. I'm much to afraid of the other preditors we have in the area. Including foxes, dogs and feral cats.
i wouldnt trust the other cat
I asked the same question a few months ago and then I was brave and now my rabbit is completely safe with my cats. They sun-bathe together and rub noses. ....But I wouldn't trust him with a strange cat.
I used to live opposite someone whose rabbit was more than capable of looking after itself - it kept the dog in its place and the other dogs on the block also knew not to mess with the bunny.
What do you mean?? Do you mean will the cat harm the rabbit? It just might, I wouldn't leave a rabbit unattended outside EVER. Its on the BOTTOM of the food chain you know. I have had bunnies that were indoor ones, I used to take them outside on a special leash that you can get at petsmart. Never let your bunny out of your site outside unless you don't want to see him again.
you rabbit wont be save unless 1 it is bonded with the cat or 2 it has ur supervision i had a cat come in my house and i got to the room just in time to see my rabbit hop up to the cat to play and i had the chase the cat out the problem is you rabbit might see the cat as something interesting and go up to the cat where the cat sees the rabbit as a play toy please dont leave ur rabbit unattended in the garden or perhaps invest in a good run for the garden that no cats or dogs can get in to good luck!
Not so safe, the cat can climb over the fence and attack it
Spoke to a girl at work, her cat brought a dead rabbit home, so I'd say not very safe.
It depends on the size of the cat. If its a lion or a leopard, youve got problems
    Watch out for Foxes too.
Please get a secure run for your rabbit, made with wire mesh. Make sure it is the wire meld not chicken wire as foxes, cats and squirrels will be able to get into it. If your rabbit like to run round the garden, make sure it is supervised at all times. Even a quick trip to get the phone or go to the loo gives another animal oportunity to try for a meal or to play and maim. I volunteer at a large rescue and I have four bunnies myself, my cat loves to snuggle up with them but next door's cat sees them as local entertainment, she sits beside their run as if watching TV then will try to pounce on them. So best be safe and knowing your bunny is not going to get attacked, gives peace of mind.
hi , i have a large ( not a monster but large) bunny ..... she lives in our house with us but goes in and out of the garden freely ..... i have a dog and two cats ( bunny is about the same size as my cat) my bunny rules the roost and the garden ..... around us we have around 3 other cats that used to come into our garden and give my cats hell but since bunny has been the garden ruler we never see these cats in our garden ..... if your bunny is large enough to be able to fight off a cat i wouldnt worrie ( we go out all day and leave our out unattended if she doesnt want to come in) wild bunnys are very small and timid so id say it makes them easy prey , most well handled bunnys tend to be less scared of new things ...... you could try keeping bunny in for a while and scaring the cat from coming into the garden .... every time you see in it there run out making a noise to chase it off so it sees your garden as a non safe haven ..... id try leaving bunnys poop and things smelling of his/her urine outside so the smell becomes normal to the cat not something to investigate ..... in my opinion once your bunny is confident with the garden and sees it as his/hers own it will keep the cat out anyhow ( mine does and the birds )hope this might help
if your rabbit is in a run then it will be fine, cats soon lose interest, but if he is running around your garden free range then the rabbit may be at risk.
well i seen a cat taking a neighbours rabbit,

when we found it it was dead,

    so not safe at all.
I'd be more worried about dogs, mind you, but here's my answer:

Probably quite safe. Cats are more for small rodents (mice, rats, ect.) and birds. They might keep a stern eye on your rabbit, but they will probably be okay.

  • How much would i pay for a check up for my rabbit?

in new york, what is the average vet bill for a regular rabbit check up?How much would i pay for a check up for my rabbit?
Depends on the vet, but about $55, more if you ask them to clip the nails or there's some treatment involved. How much would i pay for a check up for my rabbit?
If you truly care about the wellbeing of your pet rabbit money should be no issue at all. You may be happy to know that it could be under 100 dollars if there aren't any issues, but if they are it could be well over. Get your rabbit to the vet to ensure it's health.
In Texas it is about $45 so in NYC I would think that it might only be about $60 at the most!!

I say go to http://www.ask.com and search for a vet that is trained in rabbits for they need special care..

Good luck and you can get a great doctor, for I used to have a rabbit when I was smaller... Thumbalinea!!!

Redish liquid in my rabbit cage? what could be happening to her?

She appears normal but when i got home there was a reddish orangish liquidy something in her cage. what is it? It is not bleeding anywhere and i looked through her fur for cuts. what can i do to stop it from happening again?Redish liquid in my rabbit cage? what could be happening to her?
It is normal for rabbits at times to have red urine. Some people believe it is due to plant pigment that has been digested. These pigments can be found in carrots, spinach, or other veggies that may have beta carotene. The urine should return normal within a few days or a few weeks. There should be no need to panic if the bunny is acting fine. If your rabbit is acting lethargic or not eating there may be something going on and you should consult a veterinarian.Redish liquid in my rabbit cage? what could be happening to her?
Rabbit urine can vary in color depending on the amount of water that is consumed. Make sure she is drinking. Give some lettuce to increase water consumption or add some flavor to the water bowl/bottle.

She could be bleeding internally. Take her to the vet if you notice it continuing.
Since you don't know where it's coming from, you can't stop it. She may be bleeding internally and she is peeing blood or pooping blood, that would be bad and she would need to go to the vet A.S.A.P. Keep and eye on her and try to figure out where it's coming from, good luck :(

Oh, my, I think you are wrong. The government doesn't have secrets. The government may have some issues that ';do not exist'; and their way of solving problems is to ship the trouble maker to another military base, but secrets, oh, no, we don't have them in our government. Nope, problems in government just don't exist, it is just your imagination, and you may have a big imagination, but it is clearly your imagination. I have a male rabbit and he is fixed, what would be the best companion for him a male or female?

Please note: Any companion rabbit for him will be fixed!I have a male rabbit and he is fixed, what would be the best companion for him a male or female?
Definately female! Males tend to fight with eachother(females sometimes fight with eachother too), but a male and female should get along just fine, especially since they'll both be fixed.I have a male rabbit and he is fixed, what would be the best companion for him a male or female?
Female! The males miht have issues on who's the top boss as even my female bunnies have an issue similar to this but the breeders whom I got the bunnies from had no problems wuth keeping their male and female together!
    female
A female would probably be best. If you were to get another male they might fight.
A female would be the best companion for you rabbit, it is easierer to bond a male and a female than two males. Two males have the tendancy to fight more,. Don't worry if the twp dont get along at first the male may want to protect it's territory so take them both to a spot they have never been like the bathroom so neither feels threatened.

How old would my rabbit be?

Well my rabbit is nine in human years and i was just wondering how old she would be in rabbit years? How old would my rabbit be?
Here's an approximate guide I found online:

http://www.threelittleladiesrabbitry.com鈥?/a>How old would my rabbit be?
I'm not sure there are bunny years, if there are, then I've never run across them. Nine is old for a rabbit though, congrats on keeping her healthy for this long.
I don't know if there's such thing as rabbit years, but in dog years she would be 63.
i've never heard of '; rabbit years '; we've always stated they live on a normal of 10 years...so i'm gonna say..she is 9 yrs old.

  • What type of pet rabbit is low maintenance and can live outdoor?

i'm a rabbit breeder and have been for at least 5 years now and ALL of my rabbits are outside. i have a few inside the barn and a few outside. the ones outside have a run and a hutch attached to it so they can hide and keep warm in. in the winter i will put a bit of hay in so they can keep warm plus they'll eat it and they add fat which will also keep em warm. in the summer they just get shavings in their hutch.

now for low maintenance no rabbit is low maintenance but some are more then other i find. some are messier and some are cleaner..and it's not certain breeds either. i have English spots and some are alot messier then other by far.

the only rabbit i can think of that can't be outside for say would be an Angora. but they aren't populaire either so no worry there. but anyother rabbit can basically be outside.

in less u get some MAJORLY COLD winters...then i would bring them into a barn or something for the cold winter days. but other than that they should be outside. it's better for them i think.

Can I leave my rabbit alone for 7 days?

If you haven't already, please contact your local animal shelter. They frequently get rabbits, as people think they are cute gifts for easter, or just get tired of taking care of them. If you don't find any now, ask to be called when they get some in. Chances are it won't take long!

What breed of domestic rabbit do you like best.?

I want a pretty rabbit, but not like an Angora or anything too fluffy. I'm going to buy one at fair this year, and they have soooooo many babies to choose from. I've heard that Dutch rabbits are good for showing, what do you think is the best breed? What breed of domestic rabbit do you like best.?
Dutches aren't bad. But my favorite is the Lop, Holland or Mini. The Holland lop is the best built (has muscle)! Here is some info on them: http://www.feldsroyalrabbitry.com/hlrsc/鈥?/a> or http://animal-world.com/encyclo/critters鈥?/a>

And the Mini Lops are VERY similar here is some info on them: http://animal-world.com/encyclo/critters鈥?/a>

    And then dutches: http://animal-world.com/encyclo/critters鈥?/a>

I think any of those types of rabbits on that animal world page would work! What breed of domestic rabbit do you like best.?
I bred and raised mini rex, mini lop, netherland dwarf-sable point, and lion heads. The netherland dwarf were the more successful in shows, they are pretty popular. My favorite were the Lion heads because they were just so adorable, but the mini rex's fur was undescribably soft. Basically, try to find a breed that you like that you can manage but you have to get along with the individual rabbit. Make sure you check it thoroughly before buying it. good luck
i would get a dwarf bunny because they are small.

but check wit your vet to make sure they are dwarf because my mom got a bunny when she was younger and the store said it was a dwarf and it got to be 20-30 pounds. my grandparents called him a beer-guzzlin,cheseburger stealing, bubblegum chewing, poop machine.

    good luck. =]
mini rex if you dont have much room but if you have alot of room giant flemish. mini rexes have a very good temperment compared to the giant flemish.
I think the best kind of rabbit is a dutch and they are very cute too.

How much would a rabbit cost?

How much would it cost to buy a domestic pet rabbit? How much would a rabbit cost?
Anywhere from $20-$100 probably, depending where you buy it from and what breed it is.How much would a rabbit cost?
It depends on the breed. If you are willing to take on a larger breed, what are normally considered meat rabbits or commercial rabbits, and there is a breeder near you, you can ask them to save you a cull and you will pay market value for it. You won't pay over ten dollars for it, probably $5, maybe even less. I raise rabbits as a hobby for shows. When I breed my does I general get 15 to 20 babies. I may only get four or five decent show rabbits, the rest get sold to a pet store for $10 each, if someone asks me to save them a pet rabbit back, I sell it to them for what the pet store would give me, not what the pet store charges. If they want a show rabbit the price goes way up. I have sold rabbits, and even given away rabbits to people I like. My advice is find a breeder that is a member of ARBA and goes to rabbit shows, they will usually be happy to sell you a really nice young purebred rabbit for a pet for less than 1/2 what a pet store would charge you.
It depends on a lot of things.. Where you get it? You can get them at pet shops, livestock barns, private breeders. Pet shops normally sell them for $20-$50 live stock barns just depends on whos there and how much money they have and private breeders will charge you based on the breed, if they are purebreed, breeding stock, show stock, what type they are etc. I sell purebreed lionheads for $30-$40. They have their nales clipped, they come with carrier, clippers, care cards etc.
well in the phil the rabbit is only 100 pesos,,,its now 35 pesos per one dollar....i dont know here in canada how much it is,,,i had two rabbits before wen im in the phil....

What does the white rabbit represent in Alice and Wonderland?

He represents time. Our constant need to be somewhere. What does the white rabbit represent in Alice and Wonderland?
Potentiality. A possible future state of affairs that at present doesn't exist but might do so. It does exist ';really'; in the future and so exists now ';in potentia';.

In this case the white rabbit is a potential pie. What does the white rabbit represent in Alice and Wonderland?
    Insanity
Well, Lewis Carroll was a pedophile who took little girls out for rides in his row boat and read to them the stories he wrote. So I find it hard to discuss Alice in Wonderland when it was used as a lure by a child molester.
Innocene and purity. Also, coming of age.
to me it represents an event that disrupts a constant of our lives. this could be simply some one correcting you on the spelling of a word you have mispelled your whole life, or something and grand as an enlightenment in the way you view your world. in either case a sort of x factor disrupts the way you think about something, you think about it (or go on a journey) and are eventually changed in someway, either reaffirmed in your perception, or possibly develope an entirely new perception.

How are crocodile leather, rabbit fur, and other animal-related products made? Does it involve animal torture?

How are fur coats (real fur), croc handbags, etc. made? How do they obtain the skin of the animals? Does it involve any torture of the animals? Thanks! How are crocodile leather, rabbit fur, and other animal-related products made? Does it involve animal torture?
It depends entirely on the place where the fur is purchased from. Some places may kill their animals humanely but on the other end of the spectrum some animals in China are literally skinned alive. In that case it does mean animal torture. Even when they are killed humanely the animals are probably kept in the bare minimum conditions to keep them alive with no room to exercise. They are likely to have very unhappy lives.

I would never buy any animal skin products. How are crocodile leather, rabbit fur, and other animal-related products made? Does it involve animal torture?
Of course the animals are tortured!

There's not a bunch of dead crocs/alligators lying around waiting to be skinned. They kill them.

As for fur, they don't just shave the animals and let them go. They're tortured, too. There usually always is torture or unfit conditions.

How do I get rabbit pee stains/smell off a plastic laminate flooring?

use white distilled vinegar. pour some on there and let it sit for an hour. then wipe it up with a damp cloth. How do I get rabbit pee stains/smell off a plastic laminate flooring?
do NOT put anything and let it sit on Laminate Flooring.

You will cause the seams to swell and could ruin your floor,.

Try Nail polish remover on a cotton ball. That is usually a good stain remover on laminate floor.

Do not let any kind of liquid sit on the flooring. You will damage it permanently
Try bicarbonate of soda in a little warm water. Apply with a scrubbing brush, leave for five minutes then use a towel and fresh water to soak it all up.

What is that giant lump thing on the front of a rabbit?

i just dont want my rabbit to get fat because it eats so much! I give it grass and pellets and when it doesnt have food in its cage it eats the litter. What is that giant lump thing on the front of a rabbit?
yes the fluffy fur under a rabbit's neck is a dewlop. Very normal and doesn't mean it is fat. Feed the rabbit high fibre food. Research how much is the appropriate amount for your rabbit's weight. Don't feed it 2 cups of vegetables like the other person said. They are like treats! This could cause diarrhea and that is bad for rabbits as they will die of dehyrdration quickly. Only feed one baby carrot or a slice of banana daily. Timothy Hay is good for digestion. Rabbits get all nutrients from their pellet food. Veggies and fruit are treats and not necessary. Also no veggies/fruits until 4 months of age. What is that giant lump thing on the front of a rabbit?
What exactly are you feeding your rabbit? I'm no expert, but I'm not sure that roll means that it's fat. Don't quote me on this.

But I DO know that Rabbits should be fed a high-quality pellet such as Oxbow, and only very limited amounts. They should have a large pile of hay in their cage at all times, as well as lots of water. They need 2 cups of veggies a day to get the nutrients they need, and not all carrots, either!

A large cage, such as the ones seen on guineapigcages.com with modifications for rabbits also helps. Rabbits need exercise, such as daily out of the cage time for several hours.
Sounds like you're referring to the dewlap. Dewlaps are more prominent in female rabbits and it doesn't necessarily mean your rabbit is overweight.
It could possibly be an abese or tumor. But if you should see the percentege of fat on the food. Check in with the vet.

i know that the honda is slower then the vw rabbit. am looking for something that is reliable and isn't going to give me alot of problems since i'll be taking out a loan to get one. i know the honda has better gas per mileage then the rabbit but not by much. so any suggestions?Which Car should i get the Honda fit or the vw rabbit?

Why is our FEMALE rabbit jumping on our males back?

How much does a rabbit cost, including the cage and stuff to satrt off with, then how much per month on food?

i wanted to get a rabbit. i was wondering how much does all the gear cost, then how much does the rabbit cost, then how much do the cost per month in food and insurance. plus how much times will it take up cleaning it.How much does a rabbit cost, including the cage and stuff to satrt off with, then how much per month on food?
the others were right on prices for the rabbit and cage.

the rabbit is generally 30 to 40, from a breeder or petstore. 2 of mine were free, one is one of their babies, and the 4th was $8 from tractor supply. a good cage you will spend at least $70 on.

For food for my 4 rabbits, i buy a 50 lb bag of food and it lasts a little over a month, its $15. Shavings I can usually make one big bag(3 cubic feet) last about a month, $7. Hay, about $5, and whatever veggies you may give.

I have got some cheap toys that are good. I bought cat toys with bells in them for a couple $ and hanging bird toys for $1 each. How much does a rabbit cost, including the cage and stuff to satrt off with, then how much per month on food?

If you haven't already, please contact your local animal shelter. They frequently get rabbits, as people think they are cute gifts for easter, or just get tired of taking care of them. If you don't find any now, ask to be called when they get some in. Chances are it won't take long!

  • Do I have to wait before getting a new rabbit?

Our rabbit had to be put down this evening with Mixy. I presumed I would be able to get another after Xmas or whenever my son felt he was ready but someone mentioned I'd have to burn the cage etc etc. Is this true?

ThanksDo I have to wait before getting a new rabbit?
some people do say burn the cage, others say no , i have asked my friend who works with animals and she said bleach it out leave it a few days repeat, then it should be fine, you can also see the vet and he will inoculate your new bunny.Do I have to wait before getting a new rabbit?
    bollocks.

mixy is passed on by fleas or mosquito's, just clean out the hutch and get a rabbit for your kid as soon as he is ready for one, make sure that you do not cause your next rabbit stress as this can lower his immune system and let mixy in to do its worst
i think it depends on how sick the other rabbit was. I have a rabbit and she is living in a cage that 2 other rabbits have lived and died in and she's totally fine. I also have another rabbit who is living in a cage that a rabbit with a cold was living in before i sold him and we just cleaned it really good before we put her in it and she is fine to.
Burn? Never heard of that. Maybe sanitize it a couple times.
    Burn the cage? No.

You do have to disinfect the cage %26amp; everything else that your rabbit used, before allowing another rabbit into the home.

';To control the spread of the disease it is important to do two things:

    * Disinfect the area where the affected rabbit was to kill the virus.

    * Control rabbit fleas and mosquitoes that can spread the virus.

Care must be taken that the disinfectant used is not harmful to rabbits.

    The use of the cat flea control product Advantage庐 can be useful in controlling rabbit fleas and mosquitoes on rabbits.';

Also, there's suppose to be a vaccine now that you can give to your rabbit. Doesn't protect them 100%, but it'll lessen the severity if the new rabbit happens to get it (which hopefully it won't).
The disease could still be there. I suppose you could disinfect it but it would be very hard to get rid of every last trace because it's not a completely smooth surface. Try asking the vet over the phone, they'll give you the best advice.
No, just bleach the cage out and let it dry in the sun. the sun is a natural bleach and so bleach and the sun mixed will take care of the disease.
I don't see why you'd have to burn the cage. If the rabbit died of a communicable disease then a good cleaning with a sanitizer should do the trick. You may want to wait until you've had a chance to clean really well before you get another rabbit. Otherwise, you can get another rabbit whenever you feel ready. If it is now, then by all means, do what feels right to you.

A himalayan rabbit sounds great for you! The Himalayan Rabbits are known for being one of the best pet rabbits. They are very calm, easygoing, and easy to handle. Himalayans are not demanding, but they do enjoy attention from humans. Their coats are easy to care for, so the only thing about them that requires great care is keeping their cages clean. The Himalayan Rabbit is one of the most popular small rabbit breeds. Its distinctive markings and pink eyes make it a favorite of rabbit enthusiasts, and its calm, friendly attitude makes it a great pet. It is one of the best rabbits for children, with a slender, almost cat-like body that is easy for them to grasp. It is, however, important to remind them to be as gentle with the rabbit as he is with them.
If you are out of the house for long periods you need to make sure your pet rabbit has a secure but large area to play in. This means no power cables that they will bite through, no dangerous objects or things that could fall over. As a minimum they should have 6ft x 6ft to play in whilst you are not there.
rabbits are a little hard to take care of. try a guinea pig. their good for beginners.

I want a rabbit any where i can look for care?

I already have four cats in the house but want a rabbit how can I mix this or is it impossible?I want a rabbit any where i can look for care?
Rabbits generally get along just fine with cats. They can even bond as friends. You just need to supervise them closely until you are sure the cats won't hurt the rabbit, or that the rabbit isn't nervous or panicking around the cats.

Don't let the rabbit eat the cats food or regular kitty litter. If you litter train your rabbit, Rabbits should only use litter made from recycled newspaper. (Regular kitty litter with clay ';particles'; can make a rabbit very sick or kill them. Cats don't eat their litter, rabbits will!)I want a rabbit any where i can look for care?
sounds like you have a zoo
I have 2 cats and a rabbit and they get along really well. When I got my rabbit my cats were already adults. It's just a matter of telling them and showing them how to get along without hurting each other.
Of course it is. Your rabbit will fall into the pack of cats where it belongs. I have two cats, and got a bunny. He humps one cat every chance he gets, and terrorizes the other one. When he is not getting batted, they sometimes chase each other back and forth. He has gotten a few nails stuck in him as he tries to run away, but it cant hurt that much, bc he always goes back for more. My rabbit has his own cage and I let him out every night. I leave the cage open, as his sanctuary. He has free choice when he is supervised. With owning a rabbit, my biggest obstacle was not the cats, (they wondered what the heck he was) it was the potty issues. He would always pee in front of the litter box room door. So I blocked off the hallway, and now I only fight him from jumping on the couch, where he likes to pee and poop. I say his name, and he jumps down. As well as cords and such, he rarely chews them. When I catch him him, its ';David!'; and he stops. Not nearly as stupid as people think they are. Good luck!

Are rabbits social enough to make rabbit friends quickly?

I was wondering, are rabbits social, and do they like to make other rabbit friends.

Cause I was thinking, I wonder if anyone would ever have kinda like play dates with rabbits.

Like, would rabbits be OK to take to another rabbit owners house and let them play and run around in a room?

If you went to one rabbit's house for one hour would the rabbits go socialize and play, or would they hide and be shy?Are rabbits social enough to make rabbit friends quickly?
Rabbits arnt as social as most animals, males tend to fight with one another if they are not neutured but saying that there is the rare occasion where some will get on but mostly only if they have grown up together. Females its a similar thing if they grow up together they are fine but some will fight if put together but not as much as males over time you can bond most females with some patience though. Are rabbits social enough to make rabbit friends quickly?
Two rabbits that have not grown up together will fight sometimes to the death. Rabbit play dates are not a good idea. Both bucks (males) and does (females) will fight the same sex equally. They can both be territorial and the does are usually more so than the bucks. This is because they are the ones that carry and kindle the kits when they are bred.

Also rabbits can carry diseases that pass form one rabbit to another easily, some of the time they are only carriers of the disease and never show signs or become ill because of the disease. They can just make other rabbits sick. One of these diseases is Pasturella (Snuffles), a rabbit can be treated for it with antibiotics but it will always have the disease and can pass it to another rabbit. Snuffles is not curable just treatable.

This is why responsible rabbit breeders and owners who bring in a new rabbit or rabbits, quarantines them for at least 30 days.

I wouldn't take the chance of making my rabbit sick justbecausee you want it to play with it's own kind. rabbits are not like humans or even dogs and cats. They can live quite well by themselves with just the love and care of their owner.
I owned a few rabbits a couple years ago, but I never saw them ';play'; together like you think of dogs and cats playing.

I'm sure they would prefer a buddy to being alone, most animals do; but i want to say that in the wild, rabbits are solitary creatures.
Noooo!!!! It depends on the rabbit. I have 2 rabbits and the older one hates the younger one. You have to be careful, rabbits are territorial and they will fight. Do your research before you put your bun in a situations like that.
    Yes there just like people.

Rabbits are very friendly animals and are great comapny and fun.

Some rabbits will not get along wiht other rabbits, just like people.

They are all unique and individual.
As long as they are not boy and boy. And if they are boy and girl its probably not a great idea either. But rabbiuts love friends and girl and girl would be great!
    yes they love friends

What items do I need if I buy a rabbit?

I just need to be sure. Things like ';Cage, water.'; Things like that would be lovely. What items do I need if I buy a rabbit?
you need a cage water dripper food maybe some wood shavings and possibly some other stuff but I think those would be the basicsWhat items do I need if I buy a rabbit?
You should get a large cage , a water bottle(cleaner as they cant poo or pee in it) a food bowl low enough to stick their heads in but not tip over,a hay rack, wood chews for their teeth, salt wheel, litter box, pine shavings( no cedar or aromad shavings or cat litter)some toys such as the cat balls or wood parrot toys take off the bells they can choke on them, treats, rabbit food, timothy hay prefered, blanket, and a H style harness and leash to go for walks. No figure 8 as it self titens and can choke your rabbit!
cage w/ chicken wire bottom that also has a place where it can go to get out of the weather, pine needles or some type of hay for it to make a bed, a few old towels to place in the enclosed area until it gets used to the new surroundings, food pellets (perhaps some grass for it to eat also) and a water bottle hanging from side of cage.

Depends on where you plan to keep the animal (in- or outside)...

And most importantly, a stew pot w/ seasoniings just waiting for you to cook the cotton tail!
i can help with that i own a rabbit.OK food they need special rabbit food they also like fruit and veg like apple, carrot and broccoli you should never feed your rabbit lettuce cause it will give your rabbit the runs.water you should get vitamin drops for the water to keep your rabbit healthy.cage you should buy a medium cage.and a salt lick otherwise they can get a bit feisty.and maybe a small ball to play with. you can get all of this from your closest pet shop. i hope this is enough info and good luck with your rabbit.
I had a rabbit before and we bought a big cage, a small water jug, some rabbit food, wood carvings and we also made sure that we still had carrots. If you want, you can buy toys for it and othe optional things

My cat and rabbit have fleas, and i have notes that my birds been scratching a lot?

can birds get fleas and if so what can i do?My cat and rabbit have fleas, and i have notes that my birds been scratching a lot?
If your bird gets fleas it will die. So here's what to do- Go to the pet store ask the worker if they sell flea remover and get a rabbit and at one. If you're bird gets fleas it will die pretty soon. When you're cat and rabbit have no more fleas make sure give them a bath at least 1 time a month. Make sure they don't go outside a whole lot. For the bird I don't know but you should go to the vet or get a little dust and mix it will a Very little bit of watter and put it in the cage in a Very tiny bowl. This is so the bird will take a dust bath and it will make the fleas go away but after that take the bird out putt it somewhere and clean the cage out right away because the cage might be infested. Hope this helped :-)

I have a dog which is 1 and is a beagle, I want to get a rabbit, do u think that they could get along?

A BEAGLE AND A RABBITI have a dog which is 1 and is a beagle, I want to get a rabbit, do u think that they could get along?
it depends on the dog itself.. I had a beagle/bassett mix in a home with a rabbit with no problem (my rabbit was allowed to roam the house.. ).. I never had a problem..

Even outside mine will track small animals, but it just barks/bays to tell me they are there and watches them.. doesn't hunt them..I have a dog which is 1 and is a beagle, I want to get a rabbit, do u think that they could get along?
No. Beagles are hunting dogs and they go after rodents and other smaller animals. If you get the rabbit it is best to keep them separated.
No, Beagles were bred to track/hunt down things such as rabbits, if youre gonna get another pet, just get a fish or another dog.
Don't bet on it that it wouldn't hurt something. Beagles go after rabbits all the time. It's in their nature. They are meant to hunt rodents. Frogs are not rodents.
Will be tough cause they use beagles for rabbit hunting you could try introducing the rabbit in a cage and see how the dog reacts
it depends if your dog has been hunting before. but if not then yea i would get one. just let your dog know that it bad to hurt the bunny
No no no! The rabbit will not last one day. The hound instinct is too strong. Don't do it. Sorry.
No. Not a chance. Beagles would usually go after rodents. I believe. I may be wrong. But I wouldn't risk it.
    Um... no.

The beagle would have a very nice meal though!
Weeeelll...considering Beagles were bred to hunt rabbits (among other critters), I'd say not likely.
aidan f, I haven't had any problems with my beagle.

Do I have to wait before getting a new rabbit?

    The use of the cat flea control product Advantage庐 can be useful in controlling rabbit fleas and mosquitoes on rabbits.';
