wild rabbits, can they be caught bare handed in the snow without a trap?Does anyone know how to catch a rabbit bare handed in the snow?
First locate the Rabbit hole, if its in the snow follow the tracks.
Second setup close to the hole about 3 to 4 feet.
Third put bait in your hand, Carrots, Vege's etc etc.
Fourth lay prone with your hand out and cover your body with ground blind material with just your hand sticking out of the cover.
Fifth, Wait, wait , wait, wait...Grab him!
Now break his neck, and eat him raw since you want to be such an outdoorsman, that includes his inards and fur too.
Good LuckDoes anyone know how to catch a rabbit bare handed in the snow?
I suspect that there may be a few humans left with the kind of sheer animal instincts it would take to catch a healthy wild rabbit, or maybe someone real hungry. Be aware that you would need to grab and kill it very quickly....a wild rabbit will tear the heck out of you in short order.
Shoot it, walk over, catch it !
On a serious note, good luck buddy those little buggers are way faster than I will ever be. I very much doubt you could catch one in the snow or anything else bare handed.
If you succeed let me know.
when i was a kid, we use to pull them out of the irrigation pipes in the winter with gloves. had the bird dog at hand just in case they scratched to hard an we let go. never actually chased one down and caught it, bare handed!
Good luck trying that. Sit by their hole for a few hours, and grab their ears when they come out.
Ha! Ha! Ha ! Very funny, let us know when you catch it by hand.
You should watch Bugs Bunny! It will give you some ideas.
